City Palace & Jantar Mantar
The City Palace remains a living royal residence — part of it still occupied by the Jaipur royal family. We explore the courtyards, the Mubarak Mahal, and the armoury. Adjacent to it stands Jantar Mantar, the UNESCO-listed astronomical observatory built in 1734. Its instruments can measure time to within two seconds, and predict solar eclipses months in advance — all without a single digital component.

Hawa Mahal & Pink City Bazaars
The Palace of Winds — its 953 latticed windows designed so that royal ladies could observe the city unseen. We photograph its iconic facade as the afternoon light turns it honey-gold. Then we walk through Johari Bazaar, Jaipur's legendary gem market, where craftsmen still cut stones by hand under the same arches where their great-grandparents traded.
